FlylinkDC++ and DCLST-metafile support

DCLST metafile — a tool to create links to directories, in contrast to the conventional magnet link, which is usually used in FlylinkDC++.

The idea of creating metafiles DCLST for a directories appeared in a long time ago in client IceDC++. Later it was developed by GreylinkDC++ where used  under the name of .dcls.

Currently FlylinkDC++ supports the following operations with DCLST metafile:

  • DCLST metafile generator, which is available by clicking the right mouse button on the directory in file list:



It opens a generator dialogue, which creates a DCLST metafile and allows to make to some actions with them:

  • Rename DCLST — move generated DCLST in the selected directory with the selected name. For example, this action allows put the resulting metafile into shared drives directory.
  • Share now — a feature that just adds the specified metafile to the list available for download (this is possible when the metafile is in the earlier rassharennoy directory).
  • Copy Magnet — function stores a reference of DCLST metafile into clipboard and allows you to paste the link text to the chat and other places via copy and paste functionality of MS Windows. Magnet link uses &dl=XXXX in name, where XXXX — size of the directory pointed to by DCLST metafile.
  • Opening DCLST metafile FlylinkDC++ throw menu File->Open. It is open the metafile as a file list, where you can select individual components (directory/files) and do with them anything (download, search, etc.).
  • Working with magnet links pointing to DCLST metafiles. The criterion for recognition in the metafile DCLST magnet links is the file with special extension (.dcls / .dclst). In this case, action will be performed, depending on the settings. Default it requests for an action:

  • Support options DCLST metafile:

  • FlylinkDC++ can associate itself with .dcls and .dclst files. It allows you to click on files with these extensions to run (or open it in a previously running) client.
  • There is also placed a MediaInfo information for media files, which allows the user to evaluate the quality of sources.
